3/9/08 at 8:30 p.m. witnesses reported that Marie Niemeic was westbound in the eastbound lanes of O'Maley Road between the Old Seward Highway and C street. The head on collision she caused with Ashley Goldman left Goldman seriously injured and Niemeic dead. Denise Zehrung crossed the center line of the Palmer/Wasilla highway at mile 6.5. The head-on collision she caused took her life, and sent the other driver to the hospital with serious injuries. In May of 2005, a Fairbanks woman crashed into a vehicle and killed the driver. On Monday, 9/10/07, the driver of a vehicle that crashed on wet Anchorage streets, killing one of his passengers, turned himself in to police. He is accused of being drunk at the time of the crash.
